Dracaena (Dracaena marginata) also known as dragon tree, is an attractive, stiff-leaved plant with green sword-like leaves edged with red. The plant has narrow, slender grey stems that are topped with shiny, arching leaves that are sword-shaped.
Indoors plants grow to about 3 metres indoors although they can be trimmed to prevent them growing taller. If they are kept in small pots this will restrict their growth. When these plants mature in age and size they make a great feature point within living rooms, hallways and offices.
Great for a well lit room or corner also very tolerant of exposed conditions outdoors.
How often should I fertilize my plant?
- In general, house plants will thrive when they are fertilized spring through fall. Fertilize once a month with an organic houseplant fertilizer, following the package instructions for dilution and administration.
