Aglaonema are a wonderfully diverse and colourful range of foliage plants that are native to tropical and sub tropical areas in Asia. Their foliage can be striking mottled mixtures of red, pink, silver, green, yellow or cream and can be used to bring life and colour to your home! You can grow these easy care plants indoors or outdoors in a warm and shaded part of the garden, provided you live in a frost-free climate.
General Care
light
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light & artificial light
Water
Aglaonema prefer soil that is consistently and lightly moist, but not soggy. Generally, aim to water when the top 1”- 2” of the soil is dry, but if the plant is in a lower light condition, it can comfortably dry out a little further. However, allowing the soil to dry completely will result in the leaves browning, drooping, and wilting.
Humidity
Tolerates average indoor humidity. Prefers higher humidity.
Temperature
Average home temperature of 21c. If you’re comfortable, your plant is comfortable. Avoid cold draughts.
