Ficus Benjamina is a very striking houseplant due to its elegant growth. Ficus grow best in bright, sunny conditions but will also tolerate a little shade.

The tree is sensitive to cold and should be protected from draughts.

General Care .

Sunlight

Thrives in medium to bright light, but can tolerate full sun. Also works well as a feature plant outdoors.

Water

Water every week, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings.

Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Do not water directly into the center of your plant, but instead, water around it.

Keep soil moist but not wet at all times, especially during the growing season. Overwatering can damage your plant and lead to fronds quickly turning brown.

Humidity

Tolerates average indoor humidity.

Temperature

Average home temperature of 21c. If you’re comfortable, your plant is comfortable.

How often should I fertilize my plant?

• In general, plants will thrive when they are fertilized. Fertilize once a month with an organic houseplant fertilizer, following the package instructions for dilution and administration.
